Weekend Round-Up - 7/8 March 2026

A busy weekend of league and cup action across the club’s teams.

Mens

The Men’s First Team were beaten 4-1 by Wargrave, with Will Vallins scoring the goal.

A strong comeback from the Men’s Saturday Reserves saw them overturn a two-goal deficit to beat Berks County Reserves 3-2. An own goal got the side back into the game before Harvey Richardson struck twice to complete the turnaround.

The Men’s Sunday Firsts were narrowly beaten 3-2 by Tilehurst El Patrons. Nick Grosvenor and Lee Vincent were on target.

A positive result for the Men’s Sunday A’s, who recorded a 4-1 win against Caversham AFC. Ryan Phillips scored twice, with Alex Robinson and Mark Harbor also finding the net.

The Men’s Sunday B’s were beaten 4-0 by The Six Bells.

Ladies

The Ladies First Team booked their place in the TVCWFL Cup Final with a 1-0 victory over Caversham United in the semi-final, Ava Sims scoring a late winner to secure the result.

The Ladies Reserves were beaten 12-0 by Summertown Stars.

Youth

The U18s were beaten 4-1 away at Twyford Comets, with Luis Alexander scoring the goal.

Both U17 sides suffered narrow defeats, with the U17 Rangers losing 4-3 at Pinewood Pumas and the U17 Tridents beaten 6-2 by Camberley Town Raptors.

There were positive results at U16 level. The U16 Girls secured a 1-0 win over Sandhurst Wildcats, while the U16 Tigers ran out 4-0 winners against Woodley United Tornadoes. The U16 Pythons also claimed a 3-0 victory over Woodley Wanderers thanks to goals from Tolga Atik, Albie Mabbett and William Folkard. The U16 Vipers produced a strong performance to win 7-1 away at Woodley United Hurricanes, with James Oxley scoring a hat-trick and further goals from Jack Tough, Xavier Jose, Jude Harlen and Joel Hawkins.

The U15s recorded a convincing 6-0 win against Twyford Comets Blues.

A good result for the U14 Girls saw them win 4-1 against Sandhurst Wolves. The U14 Colts were beaten 2-0 by Woodley United Falcons, while the U14 Bears lost 10-1 away at Hawley Colts.

Among the U13s, the U13 Panthers secured a 5-0 away win at Wokingham Town Tigers. The U13 Raptors drew 1-1 with Caversham Trents Gold, while the U13 Warriors were beaten 4-2 by Twyford Comets Blues.

At U12 level, the U12 Ice were beaten 5-3 at Windsor & Eton Kestrels, while the U12 Bluebirds exited the cup at the quarter-final stage following a 4-1 defeat to Hearts of Teddlothian.

BYFL

Also playing in the BYFL this weekend were U11 Hurricanes, U11 Typhoons, U11 Tornadoes, U10 Panthers, U10 Jaguars, U10 Lions, U10 Tigers, U9 Bisons, U9 Bolts, U9 Warriors, U8 Hawks, U8 Falcons, U8 Eagles, U8 Kites, U7 Vipers, U7 Cobras and U7 Pythons.
