
The Men’s First Team were in league cup action on Saturday afternoon, taking on Woodley United Royals in the BTC Senior Cup at Bulmershe Pavilion. Goals from Teo Atik, Chris Smalley-Ward and a late winner for Adam Telford secured our place in the hat for the next round with a 3-2 victory.
The Men’s Reserves hosted Hurst Reserves in TVPL Division Two on Saturday at the Rec. We led through goals from Seb Andrews and Matt Symington before the visitors pulled one back before the break. Mid-way through the second-half Harry Peters put us in control with two goals in three minutes, with Lorenzo Medford adding another late on as took the points with an excellent 5-1 win.
Also in TVPL action were our Men’s Saturday A’s, who faced Harchester Hawks at CSA in Division Four. Mattie Cook put us ahead late in the first-half, with Ben Corbett adding a second with 20 minutes remaining. Harchester pulled a goal back from a free-kick before Rhys Allen nicked the ball off the visitors goalkeeper to finish into an empty net and complete the 3-1 victory late on.
On Sunday afternoon The Ladies First Team faced Kingsclere Ladies Reserves in the TVCWFL Plate First Round. First-half goals from Kara Harris, Nicole Anderson, Naomi Paxford and an own-goal put us in command as we saw out the game to claim a 4-1 victory and secure our place in the next round.
The Ladies Reserves were also in TVCWFL Plate action, hosting Rusilip Rangers Ladies 2nd XI at CSA. Goals from Karina Parker and Rosie Newnham put us ahead, but the visitors fought back to level the game in the second-half and force it to penalties after a 2-2 draw. Unfortunately Ruislip had the better of the shoot-out as we were defeated 4-1 and knocked out of the cup.
On Sunday morning our Men’s Sunday Firsts hosted FC Sporty at the Rec, suffering a 7-1 defeat with Harry Peters on the scoresheet for us.
The Men's Sunday Reserves travelled away to Arborfield in Reading Sunday League Division One on Sunday morning. Vinny Kennedy got the only goal of the game in the first-half as we made it back-to-back wins with a 1-0 victory.
The Men's Sunday A's were in RDSL Industrial Cup Quarter Final action, facing Hype Train at Calcot Rec on Sunday. Will May put us ahead early on, and we maintained this lead with an excellent defensive display until the break. The hosts turned things around mid-way through the second-half, before Eljah Sofidiya-Taylor broke through and produced a nice finish to level the scores at 2-2 late on and take the game to penalties. Amar Rai stepping up to take the winning spot kick as we progressed to the semi-finals with a 3-2 victory in the shootout.
The Men's Sunday B's were in Reading Sunday League Division Three action on Sunday morning, unfortunately suffering a 2-0 defeat at CSA against Farley Hill.
Our U18’s suffered a 6-2 defeat away at AFC Henley Hurricanes on Saturday morning in EBFA Division Two.
The U17 Bears were back in EBFA action on Saturday morning, earning a 5-3 victory away at Camberley Town Youth Royals to maintain second position in Division Two.
The U17 Buffalos were defeated 3-2 in a close game away at FC Bracknell Colts on Saturday.
Our U16's travelled away to Bracknell Cavaliers Colts on Saturday morning, suffering a 4-1 defeat.
The U15 Bisons hosted FC Woodley Zebras Reds at Willink on Saturday in EBFA Division Two. After going behind early on, we equalised through a Dylan Shaw header on the hour. The visitors were soon back in front, but another great header from Dylan levelled things up again, before Sam Davies scored a winner with five minutes remaining to secure a hard-earned 3-2 victory.
Also at Willink on Saturday morning, the U15 Buffalos faced Pinewood Predators in EBFA Division Eight. We went behind mid-way through the opening half, before a disastrous spell just before the break saw us concede three goals in three minutes. A much improved second-half saw Thomas Whitehouse pull a goal back but we were unable to find any more as we were defeated 4-1.
In EBFA Division Two our U14 Rangers earned a 1-0 victory over Caversham Trents at Willink, with the winner coming in the opening half.
The U14 Tridents travelled away to Reeves Rangers Hoops in EBFA Division Six, claiming all three points with a good 5-3 win.
Our U13 Lions faced EBFA Division One leaders Marlow Youth on Saturday morning, suffering a 4-2 away defeat.
The U13 Blues remain at the top of EBFA Division Three despite a 5-3 defeat away at Berks Elite Gold.
In EBFA Division Seven our U13 Vipers suffered an 8-1 against Old Windsor Tigers Reds, with Harry Adey on the scoresheet for us.
Also in EBFA Division Seven, our U13 Tigers made the long journey to Teddington to face Hearts of Teddlothian Mavericks, suffering a 6-4 defeat.
The U12's hosted AFC Dukes on Saturday morning, sharing the points as it ended all square at 2-2.
Also in action on Saturday were our U11 Bears, U11 Vipers, U10 Titans, U10 Panthers, U10 Jets, U10 Falcons, U9 Lions, U9 Bluebirds, U9 Ice, U8 Tigers, U8 Pumas, U8 Lions, U8 Leopards, U8 Jaguars, U8 Panthers, U7 Tigers, U7 Lions and U7 Pumas.
